Christopher Souster is the founder of Nimmons Law Office and a highly accomplished barrister and solicitor with more than 20 years of expertise in litigation, residential tenancy law, and advocacy. A graduate of the University of Calgary (BA Psychology) and the University of Alberta (LLB), he was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1999 and has since established himself as a leader in the legal field.

Christopher’s career has been defined by his dedication to advancing tenancy law and fostering strong landlord-tenant relationships. He has played a pivotal role in shaping housing policy through his contributions to the Alberta Law Reform Institute and amendments to the Residential Tenancies Act. Known for his ability to simplify complex legal matters, he authored the popular “Ask the Lawyer” column for over a decade and has taught and presented at institutions like Mount Royal College and Bow Valley College.

In addition to his legal achievements, Christopher is a dedicated community advocate. As a long-standing board member of the Calgary Apartment Association, he works to support fair and effective housing practices. He is also actively involved with local non-profits, including Mustard Seed and Inn from the Cold, where he has made a meaningful impact on affordable housing and homelessness. His lifelong commitment to these causes was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to landlord-tenant relations and the broader community.
